THIS WEEK: WITCHES & MAGIC!ย ๐Ÿ”ฎ

It’s no secret I have a soft spot for witches. In case you didn’t know, I am one! I live in conjunction with the natural energies of the universe (even when those natural energies sometimes include tequila and a Hot Pocket for dinner.) I have an altar that my cats like to mimic Godzilla on and way too many ritual robes than any one witch could need, really.

But we aren’t here to talk about me and my witchy life (though I’m not opposed to questions!)

There’s something about magic in fiction that transports us more than almost any other kind. Magic opens doors otherwise closed; magic gives us the ability to fly, to read minds, to vanquish our foes with a pinky finger – or a well-placed hex. It’s no wonder the Harry Potter series is so timeless. The magic speaks to us and opens our hearts and minds, promising that the world is scary but also full of magic. And no matter how hard things will get, the light will always prevail.

This week, we have another great round up of wonderfully magical books for you, plus more giveaways!ย So get comfortable, prepare your ereader, and enter to win some goodies.

Don’t know if I can pick out a favorite witchy read, but I did pick up an interesting series that I read over the weekend. The Prospero’s War series by Jaye Wells. It was very good and I read all 3 books in 2 days!

I love the Hollows series with witch Rachel Morgan, by author Kim Harrison. The whole series, which is now complete and ready for binge reading, is fantastic.

Anita Blake was a favorite of mine even though she was technically a necromancer, which I think might fall into the witch category (I hope!) She certainly seemed able to do spells and I loved her roommate, Frankie, I think. And she was almost certainly a witch I think.

I havenโ€™t read any of these YET. I do know that I LOVE PN novels…especially PNR. If it makes me laugh, cry, swoon or go โ€œAHHHHโ€ then itโ€™s a GREAT novel. Looking forward to reading these and all the others being offered. Thx for the offers..๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆโค๏ธ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ
